Literacy Connects

The Brown Foundations supported the formation of Literacy Connects in 2011 when 5 literacy and arts nonprofits came together. The Foundations have provided additional funding for the facilities and operations to support that successful merger.  The programs Literacy Connects provide ensure that children and adults have the literacy skills needed to succeed in school and over a lifetime whether it is through job-readiness programs, training programs for English language learners, providing books to children, or one-to-one coaching for K-3 readers.
