Voices On The Economy (VOTE) is a Tucson-based, award-winning program that teaches educators to present diverse perspectives in a balanced and accurate way so that students can make up their own minds about what they believe and find their own voices on the issues.

Join us for a free, one-day workshop focused on solving an issue not covered in the VOTE textbook. Educators will collaborate to begin the process of working through the issue of Immigration. Preliminary work will include the development of shared definitions, goals, definitions, tools, and stories, followed by the development of the conservative, liberal, and radical voices on immigration. The culminating activity will involve questions of pedagogy specific to the challenge of teaching economic issues without bias.

Lunch via Grubhub will be provided. You will earn a certificate for 6.0 hours of professional development. The VOTE Educator Series is taught by VOTE founder and president Amy S. Cramer, Ph.D.
