Have you ever wondered if students who take Advanced Placement (AP) Microeconomics and/or Macroeconomics courses choose economics as their college major? This program will present findings from research examining the effects of AP Economics exam participation and performance on students’ choice of earning a bachelor’s degree in economics. The program will also discuss introductory economics course curricula and what concepts high school students really need to know to prepare for post-secondary economics coursework. Two attendees will win a $50 Amazon gift card.
